Introduction
Lockfy for Business is an endpoint security and compliance platform built to help organizations reduce exposure on shared and managed workstations. It gives administrators visibility into session activity, local account usage, installed software, browser extensions, and device compliance from a single portal.
Lockfy focuses on a practical operational problem: idle, unlocked, or misconfigured endpoints create unnecessary risk. To address that, the platform combines monitoring, policy enforcement, and administrative controls so teams can identify risky behavior, respond quickly, and standardize workstation security.
If you are new to the product, start with the Dashboard, then continue to Sessions Overview and Workstations List to understand how activity and endpoint posture are represented in the portal.
For environments that rely on local administrative accounts, Lockfy also supports controlled password workflows. Administrators can randomize local account passwords, grant temporary access windows, and retain a record of password-related actions without keeping long-lived credentials exposed.
To understand how identity is modeled in the portal, compare Users List, Accounts List, and Local Accounts List.
Delegated administration
Section titled “Delegated administration”Administration in Lockfy does not have to be all or nothing. Rather than making someone a full administrator of the environment, you can grant them a specific permission over a specific slice of it — a department’s workstations, a manager’s team, or the whole organization.
This is managed from the Administration section: label resources with Tags, maintain reporting lines in Hierarchy, then issue Access Grants over them. Every grant issued and revoked is retained in Grant History.
Because of this, what you see in the portal depends on what you have been granted. Lists show only the resources in your scope, dashboard widgets covering data you cannot reach are hidden, and menu entries you have no access to do not appear. Two administrators can therefore see quite different portals. If a page or a record described in this documentation is not visible to you, the most likely reason is that it lies outside your grants.
The result is a platform designed for day-to-day operational use, not just periodic reporting. Security, IT, and compliance teams can use Lockfy to review posture continuously, investigate exceptions, and act on what they find.
